The IMEX Group

The IMEX Group and the GCB have a long relationship which dates to the launch of IMEX in Frankfurt in 2003. When the GCB made the decision to incorporate its Meetings Made in Germany event into the IMEX trade show, it was a turning point for the German meetings, incentive travel and business events market.
These two powerhouses - IMEX and the GCB – have worked together over the years to create a high-value, multi-cultural, in-person business event that attracts thousands of German-speaking and global buyers and suppliers to Messe Frankfurt each spring.
A trade show with additional programmes to meet every market need
IMEX offers both a bustling, business-centred three-day trade show and many tailor-made events and programmes designed for specialist groups including policymakers; corporate buyers; association buyers; agency buyers; future leaders; faculty and media. IMEX has also become the place where most of the industry’s biggest associations and agencies hold their annual meetings, chapter meetings and membership certifications.
Online experiments and looking ahead to 20th edition
The advent of covid forced IMEX to cancel not one but two editions of IMEX in Frankfurt, which means the whole IMEX team, and the wider industry is now looking forward to May 2022 when we’ll be marking – and celebrating - our 20th edition. In the meantime, we were delighted to bring two imaginative new business and networking concepts to market – PlanetIMEX in 2020 and now the IMEX BuzzHub in 2021.
We also continue to support and partner with the GCB’s Response Room where the spirit of collaboration and collective problem-solving reflects the spirit of our times.
Although the global meetings, incentive travel and business events industry has been knocked hard by the pandemic, IMEX remains confident of a strong return to business in the mid to long term. The IMEX team, working with the GCB, is more committed than ever to organising the best possible edition of IMEX in Frankfurt 2022, offering business and networking value, thought-leadership, innovation and an important focal point for the whole industry.
We have a sense this will be a remarkable reunion, one not to be missed!
