The GCB has been a supporter of the sustainability code "right and fair" since 2012. The code is a voluntary commitment to corporate responsibility for sustainability in the meetings industry. The basis of the initiative was developed at the greenmeeting and events conference in 2011. Building on this, the members of the GCB and the EVVC European Association of Event Centres developed and defined a total of 10 guiding principles in an open and transparent process. With the voluntary commitment to comply with the code, "sustainable entrepreneurs" commit themselves to sustainable action in all relevant areas.
