Situated right on the banks of the Rhine, just a stone's throw from Koblenz's old quarter with its various cultural attractions, numerous museums, historical squares, small boutiques and large shopping malls, are the two main event locations, the Electoral Palace and the Rhine-Moselle Hall.
Meeting or celebrating in the place where kings and princes once lived Elector Clemens Wenzeslaus had the Electoral Palace built between 1777 and 1786 in the French neo-classical style. The palace, which is set on the former site of the Federal Garden Show, today doubles as an exclusive historical venue offering rooms of 75-370m² with seating for up to 430 people. Meeting, celebrating & enjoying life in style The Rhine-Moselle Hall is the central events location in Koblenz . The hall is being completely modernised and expanded to include a conference centre. All of the rooms feature state-of-the-art furnishings, technology and architecture. (Due for completion in spring 2012) Facilities at the 'new' Rhine-Moselle Hall include 16 meeting rooms accommodating ten to 1,400 people, 1,600m² of exhibition space and an extended foyer space of approx. 900m², making this the ideal venue for congresses, conferences, meetings, banquets and concerts. As you would expect these days, all rooms are equipped with the latest conference technology and air conditioning and can easily be fitted with any lighting, communication and stage systems you require. More unusual aspects include glass-fibre direct hookup and the hall's energy concept: more than 85 per cent of the energy requirements for heating, air conditioning and climate control will be covered by renewable energy sources in the future. Something else that you don't see everyday is the high-grade landscaped Congress Garden which is being laid out on the south side of the new conference centre.
