Maritim Creates Holiday Magic with Alpine Lodge “Pop Up”

Meet in Stuttgart during the holiday season and you can party in traditional Bavarian style at the Maritim Alm alpine lodge.

Nestled between the Maritim Stuttgart’s historic Riding Hall and the Liederhalle conference center the quaint, traditional wooden hut (or log cabin) “pop up” brings food, drink and cheer to parties of one to 100 and is available for private bookings mid-November to mid-January.

Stepping into the Alm lodge -- after a day of business or a visit to a Christmas Market -- is like stepping back in time with Rustic wooden furniture, silvery candle light, antler decor, red checked tablecloths and more.

For a meal or nosh your guests can enjoy everything from pork crackling with a dark-beer gravy, roast chicken, cheese spaetzel, pretzels and smoked and cured meats and fish … to vegetarian dishes.  Dessert also delights be it strudel with vanilla custard or “Kaiserschmarrn” pancakes with caramelized nuts.

And of course, the Alm is ready to whet whistles with freshly drawn beer from the Stuttgart Hofbräu, Austrian and regional wines, Tyrolean brandy and Almdudler an Austrian soft drink with subtle, citrus, apple and herbal flavors.

Add traditional Bavarian music, dress and dance, and even competitive beer stein holding contests and the Alm checks all the German “holiday magic” boxes.

Meanwhile hotel guests, groups, locals and visitors alike can also enjoy fondue and après ski and wine tasting events at the adjacent Maritim Stuttgart hotel featuring 555 recently renovated rooms.
