GCB Future Talks – North American Edition, Vol. 7
Monica Sayers from Venue West has recently spoken with Matthias Schultze to discuss her thoughts on which specific skills will be needed to create successful virtual and hybrid events in the future. She argues that it’s important to know “all new meeting terminology that has come out of the virtual event planning“ and that one should “definitely collaborate with other event professionals by seeking out their experiences with the numerous platforms available to us.“

ICE Awards held in Germany for the first time
For the first time, the annual ICE awards will take place in Munich on December 9, 2021. The event will reward corporate event planners for the crucial work corporate teams are achieving in the virtual and live events world, whilst also sharing best practices and creating great ideas. The awards system is now open for submissions with nine categories to choose from. If you need help or guidance with your submission, ICE have a series of How to Enter Workshops taking place in September.

GCB launches new campaign #SafeBusinessTrips
How can business trips be organized during and after a pandemic? How can the health and safety of business travelers be ensured in the best possible way? To address these questions, the GCB has launched its new campaign “#SafeBusinessTrips”. On the campaign website you will soon find comprehensive information on safety and hygiene concepts along the entire delegate journey of business trips to and in Germany. We also invite you to share your own experiences on social media under the hashtag #SafeBusinessTrips.
