FIS Best Case 2026 at the darmstadtium

The science and congress center in Darmstadt, the darmstadtium, is one of the beacons of the German event landscape. Starting with the versatile possibilities offered by the large-format LED wall above the main entrance and the multimedia wayfinding system, customers and visitors are welcomed.

Arguably the most striking feature is the staging of the main staircase, which leads from the darmstadtium’s atrium to the Spectrum Congress Hall. Here, almost anything is possible—from lighting effects and the use of carpets to wrapping individual steps or even fully covering the staircase with graphics from the atrium to Foyer 1.05.

Here, too, in Foyer 1.05, customers have numerous options for creating a memorable experience. A particular eye-catcher—and a feature highly appreciated by customers—is the projection onto the lift door leading to the Spectrum Congress Hall. During FIS INSITE, the projection onto the lift door was primarily used to keep participants informed about the schedule and provide them with up-to-date information.

Dekhalu Catering, one of the darmstadtium’s two regular catering partners, was selected to provide catering services. Under the motto “Always Good Food” and with a clear focus on regional and seasonal cuisine, Dekhalu Catering & Events creates culinary experiences that delight.

The catering and exhibition area was located in Foyer 1.05, which surrounds the “Spectrum” conference hall. Thanks to the option to divide the conference hall, it was possible to house the back office and the staging area in the separate section B/C. Thanks to this well-planned use of space, not only did the catering service provider benefit from short distances, but above all, the event organizer and participants benefited from fast service.
