GCB Sustainablity Seminars

The programme launched in 2012, has certified over 320 Sustainability Consultants to date and over 40 are expected to take part in new sessions held in Darmstadt in October 2015. The programme covers a “Sustainability Advisor 2.0” seminar, as well as the popular entry level session “Sustainability Consultant in the Meetings Industry.”

Further proof for the importance of the issue as well as the success of the programme is the increased demand of in-house seminars. Some industry professionals such as MARITIM Hotels, Hamburg Convention Bureau, mainzplus Citymarketing or the conference center darmstadtium have incorporated the certification into their sustainability strategy, providing their employees with these in-house seminars.

But not only providers are keen to train their staff into planning and conducting events and conferences in a sustainable manner. The GCB is delightedly welcoming more and more clients to their seminars who are as well taking great interest in becoming sustainably aware in their everyday work as well as when planning their corporate events.

The GCB strives to not only raise awareness to this highly important issue, it also takes action to provide German event professionals with the right knowledge and tools to make their event – and ultimately Germany as well – a little greener every time.
