When tradition meets zeitgeist
Tucked away in the Tegernsee valley, Hotel Bachmair Weissach elegantly combines zeitgeist and tradition.
It is the perfect place to relax and unwind, to disappear into the gentle beauty of the Upper Bavarian mountain and sea landscape that has inspired writers and artists ranging from Thomas Mann to Carl Spitzweg. In 2010, hotel owner Korbinian Kohler, the cosmopolitan ancestor of the renowned handmade paper factory in Gmund (Büttenpapierfabrik Gmund), stated his goal to rekindle the story of the hotel that dates back to 1862. He wanted to return it to a meeting place for locals and international travellers.
