The German meetings and events industry: competent and innovative at IMEX America 2015
Together with more than 20 German exhibitors – locations, city marketing organizations, hotels and services – the German Convention Bureau (GCB) will jointly present Germany as a convention, meeting and event location, illustrating why Germany remains the #1 spot in Europe for meetings and conventions.
While visiting the German Pavilion (booth 2223), meeting planners and hosted buyer groups will take-away the following:
- checklist to evaluate a meeting destination based on how it adds important and fresh value to a meeting
- ideas on innovative activities and resources that can increase the interest and satisfaction of both new and returning meeting attendees
- trends in services and products that can differentiate their meeting from others.
The German Pavilion is part of the Foreign Trade Fair Participation Program by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy in cooperation with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA). The Ministry initiated this program to promote German foreign trade, giving companies with “Made in Germany” products and services the opportunity to participate in international events and trade shows at lower cost.
Growing significantly each year, IMEX America is one of the most important trade shows of the meetings and events industry in the North American market. Last year’s event attracted more than 4,800 trade visitors, hosted buyers and journalists from 54 countries who learned about services and products offered 2,900 exhibitors from 150 countries.
All the partners at the German Pavilion participate and look forward to pre-scheduled meetings with planners who want to leverage the local resources, experts and facilities that can make their destination an integral part of a meeting’s success. The reservation system opens September 14. Walk-in visitors are welcome too!
Finally, we invite IMEX America guests to join in the 5th annual EURO Party – Wednesday, October 14, 4 p.m. at the booth where we will showcase German diversity.
