Scientists 1st Guests at Munich’s new MÜNCHEN HOCH5 Event Space

More than 100 scientists from Munich universities, institutes and research facilities accepted the invitation of the Department of Labor and Economic Development, München Tourismus, and the Munich Congress Alliance MCA and attended the Professors’ Meeting at MÜNCHEN HOCH5 on July 21st.

They were the first guests in the new event location in WERK3 above the roofs of the city. WERK3, the central building within the so-called “Werksviertel” (industrial quarter), was created to accommodate the creative minds of the city.

Mayor Josef Schmid, the Chief Executive of the Department of Labor and Economic Development responsible for tourism, emphasizes: “Munich is a city of creative minds. Creativity is one of the driving forces for the development and the implementation of visions for Munich as a congress site. City, business and science cooperate in their efforts to promote the location. At the Professors’ Meeting we bring together the key players.”
The Professors’ Meeting was launched in 1989 to provide a multidisciplinary communication platform for the congress industry and science. Within the framework of an evening event in an unusual location the guests had the chance to obtain current information about Munich as a congress site and plenty of opportunity for contact and conversation. The professors acted as ambassadors for Munich and promoted the city as congress location for international associations and committees.
