The Perfect Match - Your Event, Our Locations, and Munich

06.12.2023 | Ad

Bright, modern, flexible rooms, excellent connections to the state capital of Munich, which scores highly for its recreational value, decades of experience: the LOCATIONS OF MESSE MÜNCHEN are highly attractive for guest organisers and the Messe München team convinces new and long-standing customers to choose Munich as a venue every year.

Newly acquired events for 2024

In the coming year, there will be a number of new guest events that LOCATIONS OF MESSE MÜNCHEN has been able to attract. One new highlight will be the Aids Conference: from 22 to 26 July 2024, HIV experts will meet at Messe München for the world's largest scientific, socio-political and civil society HIV conference. Leading scientists, doctors, health experts and activists from over 175 countries will discuss immunodeficiency and innovative ways to contain HIV at this forum. A total of over 15,000 participants are expected.

In addition to medical congresses, the Messe München team is looking forward to realising renowned platforms from the IT sector, for example, for the first time. A new addition to the portfolio is the Salesforce World Tour organised by the software company Salesforce, which offers cloud computing solutions. With "seamless EUROPE", a globally active organiser will be coming to Messe München from next year. The core themes of this event are payment transactions, financial technology, insurance technology and e-commerce. This makes "seamless Europe" and its British organiser Terrapinn Holdings a seamless fit with Munich. After all, the Bavarian capital is a centre of the finance and insurance industry. This is why "seamless Europe" will be welcomed with open arms in Munich. The two exhibition directors Reinhard Pfeiffer and Stefan Rummel have quickly established the basis for cooperation with Clemens Baumgärtner, the City of Munich's Department of Labour and Economic Affairs. "Terrapinn Holdings has found an exciting environment in Munich with high-calibre service providers from the financial and insurance sectors. FinTech is a key topic in the economy and in private life," said the two trade fair CEOs: "It is also a great success for Messe München. It proves once again that we can bring top events to Munich with our worldwide reputation as a reliable and professional organiser."

Messe München exemplary in sustainability

The new acquisitions show how attractive Messe München is for world-renowned guest organisers. The topic of sustainability is also playing an increasingly important role. More and more guest organisers are making sustainability a condition for their bid.

Messe München has good arguments in its favour here, as it has an exemplary sustainable approach in many areas: From the trade fair's own photovoltaic system on the roofs to the purchase of green electricity and LED lighting. The trade fair lake is fed by rainwater. An ingenious system for rainwater infiltration relieves the burden on the sewage system. With 220,000 square metres of green spaces, around 2,500 trees, green hall exterior walls and 35,000 square metres of green roofs, the exhibition grounds are also literally "green".

"Sustainability has increasingly developed into an economic success factor. Only in an intact environment can we work profitably and secure the future of our company," say the trade fair CEOs Reinhard Pfeiffer and Stefan Rummel.

Messe München has therefore committed itself to extraordinarily ambitious climate targets and aims to become climate-neutral by 2030. In order to achieve these ambitious goals, Messe München is continuously initiating climate protection measures and projects - across all areas of its trade fair infrastructure.

"In terms of dimensions, Messe München's technology is comparable to that of a small town. That's why we have to constantly optimise our electricity, cooling and heating supply if we want to remain competitive in our core business and act sustainably at the same time," say the two Managing Directors of Messe München, Reinhard Pfeiffer and Stefan Rummel. For example, a current simulation-based feasibility study aims to determine the most effective and economically viable energy mix for the future operation of the exhibition centre - as CO2-neutral as possible.

In addition to a beautiful green ambience, the proximity to the city centre, which can be reached in 15 minutes by underground, is an important argument in favour of Messe München.

On top Munich is unbeatable as a trade fair centre. The unique blend of tradition, innovation and Bavarian cosiness is known and appreciated all over the world. Hardly any other city brings together people of different origins, young and old, business and leisure like the city on the Isar. Over 1,000 beer gardens and pubs give guests the opportunity to expand their network after the event and deepen their conversations - over a pint of beer and a hearty snack. The LOCATIONS OF MESSE MÜNCHEN team is looking forward to your enquiry.
