Do you have the necessary infrastructure?

In addition to personnel resources, you must check the infrastructural requirements:

• Do you have sufficient work stations?
• Do these work stations have adequate technical equipment such as powerful computers?
• Do you have software for handling specific complex tasks (e.g. attendee registration or abstract management)?
• Who is accountable for the convention, taking account of fiscal aspects, if you need to consider tax problems, for example?
• Can the attendance fees also be paid by credit card? Do you have any contracts with credit card institutions?
• etc.
  

All this entails costs - costs you can also use to buy services from a PCO, who already has the necessary infrastructure.
