Fachmann/-frau für Veranstaltungsmanagement (Specialist for Event Management)
Course offered by the MultimediaKompetenzCenter (MKC) of IHK Potsdam (Chamber of Commerce)

This further training course as an event manager will provide top-level and cutting-edge qualifications for this dynamically growing services segment. This market, which is also gaining more and more international importance, needs qualified specialists who can develop and realise event projects professionally, have command of state-of-the-art event technology, can work the markets effectively and, last but not least, can communicate in a cultivated manner.

Objectives of the course:
This modular course enables participants to acquire the necessary professional skills. The Chamber of Commerce (IHK) Certificate "Fachfrau/Fachmann für Veranstaltungsmanagement" (Specialist for Event Management) will be awarded to participants who have successfully completed at least  four modules of the course (apart from module 6) and passed the tests. Each module can also be booked separately, although it is advisable to start with the "event management" module. Graduates will receive an IHK attendance certificate for each completed module. Module 6 is intended for participants with little or no previous knowledge.

Eventmanagement Basics (basic course in special event management)
A three-day introductory course addressed to people who have no experience with planning and implementing special events. The course is completed by an examination. Successful completion will entitle you to attend the course Eventmanagement Main Level.

Special Events Manager (IST)
(Main Level)

For people who already have professional experience or have successfully completed the basic course. The course lasts 15 months and offers a mix of attendance seminars (normally at the weekends) and teaching by text material.
