Incentives in Germany
Hannover and Central Germany
The symbols of centuries of history coexist creatively with the innovations of the world’s most modern technologies in the center of Germany. Hanover is best known as host to CeBIT, the international information technology trade show, held at the Hannover Congress Centrum. Close to Hanover is Wolfsburg, where enthusiasts of the automobile flock to Autostadt, Volkswagen’s brainchild, which offers visitors historical and hands-on perspectives of the 20th century’s greatest invention.
A Breath of History with the Scent of Secrets
For unusual venues, the spinning mill in Ravensburg Park in the 13th-century city of Bielefeld and the castle in Osnabrueck best known to history buffs as the site of the Peace of Westphalia in 1648 which marked the end of the Thirty Years War, offer lots of historical atmosphere. Following a day time of conferences visitors to Osnabrueck take a tour led by the Osnabruecker “night watchman” for an evening of fine food and revelry. Another Hanseatic League city is Braunschweig, a very old, but very modern center of science as well as of preserved half-timbered houses and one of the regions most popular music festivals, held every May and June, featuring everything from jazz to Mozart opera.
