Trabbi-Rally through Berlin with activities, sights and many celebrities

Berlin was and still is a metropolis full of contrasts:  old and new, magnificent and rustic just to name a few.  While on many corners of the city government buildings are being renovated, on other locations other buildings are under construction.  Let your guests experience their way through Berlin and they will discover one surprise after the other.

The Trabbi Rally begins with a game in which guests are divided into groups, where there is always a driver, a navigator, and wherever applicable, passengers.  Each group can be accompanied by a city guide who tells about the main sights along the way.  Provided with a roadbook filled with tips, questions and assignments and after a short briefing, the group is set to go in the car from Zwickau.

Yet before the rally participants can start into the “city jungle”, they have to demonstrate their ability that they really can handle the small motor vehicle.  The team have various tasks and even with just being able to take over the steering wheel.

Off the track various challenges await the guests to overcome.  These are recorded by Polaroid cameras. Again and again on the mapped-out routes, the guests run into various characters in Berlin history, e.g. the “Old Fritz” who exemplifies to the guests the glamorous time of Berlin during the Prussian occupation. Farther along the way they encounter a “VoPo” (“Volkspolizist”: a policeman of the former GDR) who controls their arrival visa on their arrival from “East Germany” to “West Germany.”

 

According to the time available, the rally can be expanded through various active stations where points can be collected.  Since Berlin was host of six FIFA World Cup™ matches in 2006, this theme can be integrated into the rally.  An ideal location is the renovated Olympic Stadion, in which the final match of the FIFA World Cup™ took place.
