Cultural venues
- Town Hall of the Treaty of Westphalia. With Hall of Peace, treasure chamber and exhibition on Osnabrück’s destruction and reconstruction.
- Felix-Nussbaum-Haus. Designed by Daniel Libeskind, it is home to the works of Nussbaum who was born in Osnabrück and murdered in Auschwitz.
- Museum of Cultural History. Permanent exhibition on the development of Osnabrück and a graphic arts collection of Albrecht Dürer
- Villa Schlikker. In the “House of Remembering”, built around 1900, the culture of everyday life in the 20th century comes to life again.
- Art gallery Dominican Church. Built around 1300, is one of the most beautiful exhibition rooms for contemporary art in Germany.
- Erich Maria Remarque Peace Centre. Permanent exhibition on the life, works and global impact of the Osnabrück born author.
- Cathedral Treasure Chamber and Diocesan Museum. Both can be found in the southern wing of the cloister of the Romanesque St. Peter’s Cathedral.
- Schölerberg Museum for Nature and Environment, Planetarium. Natural science collections, permanent exhibit “underworlds” and more.
- Museum of Industrial Culture. The history of industrialisation in Osnabrück, housed in the buildings of a former coal mine.
- Buck’s Tower. A watchtower from the 13th century, once part of the city walls, with a small exhibition on the history of witch hunting.
