Conference and Congress Venues

Bördelandhalle: One of the most modern halls in Germany and with more than 7,800 seats the largest multifunctional facility in Saxony-Anhalt. The Bördelandhalle offers fascinating architectural features as well as a variety of rooms and halls to suit the needs and requirements of the organisers. Conference rooms and areas ranging from 63m² to 5,850m² provide enough space for every kind of event.

Messe Magdeburg: The new exhibition area, finished in 1999, has a beautiful view of the neighbouring Elbauenpark with its impressive size of 90ha. The venue offers a unique and very pleasant atmosphere where modern architecture is combined with a high degree of functionality. The two exhibition halls of the Messe Magdeburg have a size of 3,600m² each whereby the partially roofed open spaces together cover an area of 6,500m².

Stadthalle Magdeburg: The Stadthalle or Civic Hall, constructed in the 1920s in New Building style, is situated on an island in the Rotehorn Park, a centrally located and popular garden park. The green setting and scenic location of the hall inspire event organisers and guests alike.

Business Kultur und Service GmbH: The office and conference centre, favourably located near the city centre, offers 13 modern and functionally equipped conference and seminar rooms. Organisers and guests benefit from a comprehensive range of services including modern conference technology, full service, catering, help in finding accommodation, assistance during events and the organisation of theme nights in restaurants.

Conference and Congress Hotels

Maritim Hotel: The centrally located Maritim Hotel is the largest conference hotel to be found between Hannover and Berlin. The 3 halls and 16 conference rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technology offering ideal conditions for conferences, seminars and congresses. Guests staying overnight may choose between 4 different room categories with 514 rooms on 7 floors.

RAMADA Hotel Magdeburg: The hotel is located on the outskirts of Magdeburg which offers an ideal setting for the inspiration of ideas and projects. The 9 variable conference rooms are equipped with air conditioning, state-of-the-art conference technology and natural daylight. Flexible and soundproof partition walls can be installed to accommodate small meetings as well as large-scale events. 243 quietly located rooms guarantee a good night’s sleep.

Historical Herrenkrug Parkhotel: The conference hotel is beautifully situated in the 46ha Herrenkrug Park offering a banqueting hall, 9 seminar and conference rooms as well as an exhibition area of 380m² that is accessible by car. The Herrenkrug Park on the picturesque banks of the river Elbe is an ideal venue for creative and incentive events with an outdoor character. For 7 years now the hotel has been ranked among the top 11 conference hotels in Germany also for its excellent facilities in order to relax and unwind. In 2006/2007 the Herrenkrug Parkhotel was awarded the “best conference hotel in Germany” in the “conference” category. It offers 147 business rooms and junior suites where guests can enjoy a wonderful view of the park and where they can escape the stress of everyday life.

Hotel Ratswaage: The Hotel Ratswaage with its 147 rooms is situated in the heart of the city and is an ideal venue for conferences with a special flair. 10 conference rooms on 2 floors with a total size of 800m² provide excellent space for conferences, seminars and congresses. With the provision of flexible and soundproof partition walls, rooms can be tailored to the needs of small workgroups as well as large gatherings at conferences.

Special Locations

St. John's Church: After restoration work was completed on St. John’s Church, destroyed during the Second World War, it soon became a unique location for conferences, concerts and other events of a high class. With an area ranging from 115m² to 800m², the former church building offers plenty of space to hold events in the heart of the city.

Millennium Tower in Elbauenpark: The world’s largest wooden tower, a wood glue construction and home to an interactive exhibition on 6000 years of scientific and technical history, provides a unique setting for events. The 380m² cupola hall, 20m high, serves as an excellent venue for all kinds of events.

Kongress- und Kulturwerk Fichte: A gas motor factory and iron foundry from 1885 has been transformed into a multifunctional event hall, accessible by car, which is used for congresses, conferences and all kinds of meetings. The former industry hall offers a special setting for a variety of events such as concerts, theatre, theme parties, gala nights, receptions, industry presentations, in-house exhibitions and much more.

Mark Fortress Magdeburg: The former Prussian fortress with its mighty 11m high vaults and massive arches in the hall provides an impressive and awesome setting for the celebration of banquets with evening buffets as well as presentations, conferences, workshops and seminars.

Society House in Klosterbergegarten: In addition to 3 halls designed for conferences, banquets and seminars, the house also offers 3 rooms for smaller events. The 216m² foyer with an adjacent terrace offering a wonderful view of the Klosterbergegarten adds attractive quality to the building.

Citadel Tower: The 2 conference rooms in the tower of the “Green Citadel”, Hundertwasser's last architectural project, offer perfect conditions for conferences, seminars or private parties in a unique setting. At a height of 35m, the vegetated 60m² roof terrace offers a spectacular panorama view of the city.
