The German National Tourist Board, based in Frankfurt on Main, is an expert and innovative marketing services provider for Germany as a travel destination.Outside Germany the GNTB plans, co-ordinates and realises all marketing and sales activities through a total of 29 sales offices - with 12 own agencies and 17 sales co-operation partners.
As a central information platform, the GNTB website presents the wide range of its products in German and English and offers the customer fast, creative and up-to-date access. On www.germany-tourism.de you can embark on a virtual 1,800-page tour of Germany. In total, the GNTB operates 25 market-specific websites in 21 languages."
In March 2003 The German National Tourist Board and the German Convention Bureau e. V. (GCB) expanded their co-operation agreement for the next few years. The two organisations, which have already been working together for 30 years, will intensify their co-operation in the German National Tourist Board Theme Year 2003: "Germany - Routes to Success:Trade Fairs, Congresses, Conferences and More".
The aim of the two partners is to secure and expand Germany's market position as an international congress and meetings destination with an optimum infrastructure, business and science centres, professionalism and quality, unusual venues, and great value for money. The co-operation covers fields such as market research, acquisition of association and corporate events and participation in international trade fairs like imex -incorporating Meetings made in Germany, which was first staged in Frankfurt in April 2003 and which has chosen the GCB as its strategic partner in Germany. Joint campaigns include workshops and product training, study tours and site inspections.
