Hotels in Berlin and Frankfurt
Success story with a future: 10 years Estrel Berlin
2,226,108 overnights – in only ten years in one single hotel! The Estrel Berlin – Europe’s largest convention, entertainment and hotel complex with 1,125 rooms is currently celebrating its tenth birthday. The hotel opened in 1995, followed by the Estrel Festival Center in 1997 and the Estrel Convention Center in 1999 – becoming Germany’s number one meeting location. The Estrel’s secret of success is based on this combination of meetings, accommodation and entertainment all rounded off by personal service despite the size of the overall complex.
Two Million Euros have been invested over the past months in the renovation of more than 300 bedrooms. The Atrium-Bar and Orangerie are also gleaming anew for the anniversary celebrations. The Estrel and its staff are not only looking forward to next years FIFA World Cup™ but also to the Athletics World championships in Berlin in 2009.

A wave of new hotels opening in Frankfurt am Main
The FIFA World Cup 2006 is making it all happen: Frankfurt is currently experiencing a veritable boom in hotel construction. At the start of 2005, Frankfurt’s hotel industry comprised 165 hotels and approximately 26,500 beds. By the end of 2005, a total of 10 new hotels of various categories will have been completed, offering a further 1,400 hotel rooms and some 2,300 beds. Thanks to this dramatic increase, the Main metropolis will find itself ranked amongst Central Europe’s most dynamic hotel locations. And the surge of new hotel openings will continue during the World Cup year as well. A further six hotels with 1,000 rooms and 1,700 beds are scheduled to be completed and ready for business by June of 2006. By the time the FIFA World Cup 2006 kicks off, Frankfurt will be able to offer its guests 30,500 beds and 181 hotels to choose from.
Among the new hotels are the 4-star „Fleming’s Hotels“ in the former Bellaphon-Haus at Platz der Republik with 96 rooms and at the New Stock Exchange Hausen with 152 rooms and a 1,000-square-metre conference hall with capacity for up to 400 persons, the Radisson SAS Hotel Frankfurt with its eye-catching architecture and the Rocco Forte Villa Kennedy in Sachsenhausen
