Meetings Newsletter for Germany
The eyes of the world were focussed upon Dresden on 30th October 2005 when the reconstructed Dresden Frauenkirche (Our Lady’s Church) was consecrated. This was, indeed, a very optimistic symbol for the inhabitants of Dresden and a sign of confidence in their future in a re-united Germany almost 16 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Our series on FIFA World Cup™ host cities continues in this issue with Berlin – Capital City and Cultural Metropolis and Leipzig – Charming City of Culture and Sport. These two cities are major German players in the world of corporate meetings and association conventions and international trade fairs. Our rubric ‘Profiles’ features a profile of Maritim Hotels.
We also include a report on a wave of new hotel developments in Frankfurt am Main, along with more news from the German meetings, incentives, congress and events industry.
Wishing you an enjoyable and informative read,
Your GCB Team
