Profile: Congress visions are realised at m:con CC Rosengarten Mannheim

The m:con Congress Center Rosengarten is one of the most renowned centres for scientific and medical congresses in Europe. Major world conferences are held here, such as those for cardiologists and stroke experts.

The m:con Congress Center team is not only top in terms of medical and scientific congresses but also acts as a worldwide PCO (Professional Congress Organiser) - a field where m:con’s  professionalism, competence and congress delivery is always to the fore.

The expansion of m:con Congress Center Rosengarten provides ample evidence, should proof ever be needed, that  congress visions may be realised to the full and that m:con’s vision of an historic and at the same time ultra-modern congress centre is a very real possibility.

When expansion is finally complete in 2007 Mannheim will be in a position to offer 50,000 m² of space for all kinds of congresses, conferences and events. Some 5,000 m² of this will be available for accompanying fairs, presentations and exhibitions.

The m:con Congress Center Rosengarten’s expansion consists of two side foyers, ten seminar rooms, a lecture theatre for 500 participants and four multi-functional rooms – a total area of 3,000 m². A space where tradition meets modernity: m:con’s beautiful and breathtaking Art Nouveau building merging with an attractive ultra-modern glass structure, flooded with daylight and brightness throughout.

The same concept applies not only to the new building’s exterior but also to its interior design: a traditional, almost artistic ambience in the Muses Room, a philharmonic atmosphere in the Mozart Room and a friendly, motivating and focussed working atmosphere in the congress rooms.

Maugé: „Expansion is taking place under the motto: more room for the future.“ Escalators will cater for people meeting simultaneously – a total of up to 10,000 participants at any one congress. They will be conveyed in comfort and at ease to and from their meeting and workshop rooms. The escalators are incorporated in the glass foyers in such a fashion that participants will feel as if they are ascending towards the heavens. In reality they will be transported to the upper foyers where adequate space is available for accompanying exhibitions and presentations.
