14th Conference of the World Organisation for Meteorology (WMO) European Section in Heidelberg

The 14th Conference of the World Organisation for Meteorology (WMO) European Section took place from 7th – 15th September 2005 in the Kongresshaus Stadthalle Heidelberg.

The WMO, based in Geneva, Switzerland, is a special UN body which promotes the work of 186 national weather services and co-ordinates co-operation among these on a worldwide basis. Directors and employees of weather services from 45 European states met in Heidelberg along with observers from numerous other international organisations. The conference was held in English and translated into five further languages.
