Meetings Newsletter for Germany

Dear Meeting Planner,

Dresden’s 571st Striezelmarkt opens on 24th November 2005. It is Germany’s oldest Christmas market and well worth a visit, as are the hundreds of other Christmas markets which occur in German towns and cities at this time of year.

St. Nicolas, Advent, Christmas and New Year’s Eve lie ahead. Always a particularly pleasant time of year in Germany – time for ginger bread, marzipan, mulled wine, Christmas carols, delicious meals, peace and quiet and a whole variety of regional treats.

Many German hotels also offer very attractive Advent, Christmas and New Year arrangements – so take some time to explore these as there is definitely something for you or for your clients waiting there. A number of such seasonal offers are featured in this edition of our newsletter.

Our rubric ‘Profiles’ features the SevenCenters of Germany and the BTZ – Bremen Tourism and Convention Centre this time round.

This issue also contains a report on a recent site inspection to the Sachsen-Anhalt cities of Magdeburg and Halle.

Wishing you an enjoyable and informative read
