Historik Hotels: co-operation launched for historical hotels


Individual hotels with historical origins in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are the target group of the newly founded hotel co-operation Historik Hotels based in Cologne. It addresses historical private hotels from the classicistic to Art Deco periods in the three to four-star superior segment. According to its motto "Living in the Antique Charm of Listed Buildings“, the marketing federation targets guests with historical and cultural interests. "What designer hotels are working so hard for to achieve, we already have by nature: the charm of distinction," says Hartmut F. Thäns, founder and director of Historik Hotels. For the selection of the members, Thäns attaches great importance to a unique setting, individual service and modern amenities.
Historik Hotels are primarily marketed via the online platform www.historikhotels.com. And for a fee, members can also be linked up with all GDS systems and IDS channels of Pegasus. Thäns is convinced that the Historik Hotels concept will be successful: "Guests are very interested in staying at a historical place. Often, the individual hotels are simply not well-known enough beyond their region. Historik Hotels wants to bridge this gap.“
