New website for Dresden's congress industry www.dresden-congress.de

The website of Dresden's congress industry has undergone a total make-over. On the website http://www.dresden-congress.de/ organisers of meetings, conventions and events can search for meeting hotels, meeting venues and unusual venues by location, capacities and facilities to fit their needs and get detailed information (such as room layouts). You can also contact providers directly on the website.
Congress industry information is updated daily. Linked with the DWT database, new partners in the industry can immediately be presented on the web after inclusion in the database. As a further service you can also subscribe to a free newsletter on the website which delivers news from Dresden and its meetings industry twice a year. There is also a special communication forum for the local meetings industry.
Finally, Dresden's official tourism agency - DWT - presents its wide range of congress marketing and convention services on the website, offering itself as a competent partner to meeting organisers.

The makeover was necessary due to the rising standards of congress customers. DWT director Yvonne Kubitza: "After the opening of Dresden's International Congress Centre, our city now boasts Germany's most modern convention centre. So the professionalism of the agencies, hotels and venues should be reflected in a modern, customer-focused and service-orientated website, especially as the industry increasingly uses the web to gain information."
