Rhein-Main-Hallen technology news
Rhein-Main-Hallen centre in Wiesbaden now offers its customers even more computer and IT services. After the launch of a new fibreglass network for easy and secure data transfer last year, the fair and convention centre installed a wireless-LAN network (W-LAN) in August and September 2003.
On 20,000 sqm organisers, exhibitors and speakers have user-friendly and wireless access to the Internet in over 50 so-called hot spots. Depending on demand, several thousands of users can log into the web anywhere they like in Rhein-Main-Hallen thanks to this new technology.
The system was first used at MeasComp from 23 to 25 September 2003.
You will find more general info on W-LAN in the last newsletter in our archives.
