XX. World Youth Day from 16th to 21st August in Cologne

Pope Benedict XVI has invited world youth to join him in Cologne from 16th until 21st August 2005 for the XX. World Youth Day. 800,000 young people between the ages of 16 and 30 years, 600 bishops and 4,000 journalists from all over the world are expected to attend.

Local organisation and ground handling has been entrusted to the Weltjugendtag GmbH in Cologne.

The detailed papal programme is due to be published ín July 2005.
