News from the Maritim Hotels and from Nuremberg
New Maritim Hotel in UNESCO World Cultural Heritage City of Dresden
Dresden has recently been included in the prestigious UNESCO list of World Cultural Heritage Cities. The New Terrace - Dresden International Congress Centre (opened in May 2004) features a plenary room for up to 4,150 persons, five conference rooms (340 to 615 persons), nine break-out rooms (10 to 90 persons), a 5.500 m² foyer, organisers’ offices and Business Center. The Maritim Conference Hotel in the adjoining historic Erlweinspeicher will open its doors in Autumn 2005. It will feature 328 rooms and a restaurant with capacity for up to 650 persons.

New Maritim Hotel Berlin welcomes its first guests
The new Maritim Hotel Berlin, located in the heart of the German capital close to Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz and the diplomatic quarter, opened its doors on 5th August 2005, after just 26 months of construction time.
The Maritim Hotel Berlin is the 44th hotel in the Maritim portfolio. With an event capacity of up to 5,800 people, the modern four-star superior hotel will be the largest convention hotel in the centre of Berlin. Meeting rooms ‘Maritim’ and ‘Berlin’, both with foyers, can accommodate over 3,000 and 1,200 guests respectively and comprise more than 4,000 m². An additional 18 meeting rooms and three foyers are available for events while 41 business suites can be used for smaller meetings of 8 to 24 participants.
The building’s design reflects the Berlin of the 1930´s. The hotel features 505 rooms including 71 suites. With 350 m² the presidential suite is the largest in Berlin offering impressive views over Berlin's embassy quarter.
The hotel has three restaurants: restaurant ‘Maritim’ seating 600 guests, à-la-carte-restaurant ‘Grand Restaurant M’ seating 160, and restaurant ‘Brasserie’ with front cooking. During summertime, an additional 60 guests may be accommodated on a spacious terrace.
Exotic cocktails, live music and dance are available at the elegant hotel bar ‘Le Bar’. Guests can also relax at the modern wellness centre and park their cars in the underground car park (478 spaces).

CCN East Nuernberg – first 100 days
The CCN East has passed its first 100 days with honours. Ten events have taken place since 1st April 2005 – a total occupancy of 57 days. The CCN East’s event calendar for the remainder of the year is also filling up fairly quickly.
The CCN East is a successful symbiosis of modern technology and highly emotional architecture – an architecture which invites easy and open communication. The daylight meeting rooms are grouped on three levels around a circular atrium under a large glass cupola – with capacities for up to 3,300 persons.
