Meeting Newsletter for Germany
Great occasions cast their shadows well in advance. For the global events branch, this occasion is most definitely IMEX in Frankfurt. The events branch get-together from 26th to 28th May 2009 will be the MICE Event of the Year once again with some 3,500 exhibitors from 150 countries and a 1,500 m² Germany Stand (+15% on 2008). All because of, or in spite of crisis year 2009!
The GCB German Convention Bureau service and offerings spectrum will be particularly the focus at ‘IMEX - incorporating Meetings made in Germany’. Not only will GCB members such as HannoverKongress and Köln-Bonn-Düsseldorf present their services or noticeably larger stands. The Congress Alliance and Munich Tourist Office have moved from the main GCB stand to their own stand areas. IMEX premieres will include the Hotel Freizeit-In in Göttingen which will present itself in public for the very first time.
Not forgetting the comprehensive range of gratis GCB seminars. Leading industry experts such as Martina Eggler (Carlson Wagonlit Travel), Torsten Kriedt (VDR) and Petra Kimmig (Sanofi Aventis) will speak on branch themes and crisis-relevant issues from Effective Travel Management and Project Management to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), from Catering to Insurance Solutions.
The appearance of extreme sportsman Joey Kelly will indeed be a special highlight of this year’s show. His presentation is succinctly entitled ‘No Limits!’
And we also view it exactly so! A total of 15 seminars and 67 exhibitors alone on the GCB Stand promise excellent business contacts in 2009 and a superb overview of Europe’s Number One events destination.
We look forward to seeing you soon at IMEX,
Your, GCB-Team
