Meeting Newsletter for Germany
When is the last time you were actually kissed by a muse? Either in the guise of a scintillating idea? An inspiring encounter? A moving concert? Was it yesterday, last week, or was it last year? Irrespective of when and where: over the coming twelve months we at the GCB German Convention Bureau will act as your personal muse – your inspiration in all things to do with meetings, incentives, congresses and events. Our motto for 2009 is "The ART of Meetings".
The term "ART" in this specific context actually has two meanings. After all, events destination Germany not only masters the high art of the MICE business as hardly any other, German poets and philosophers, painters and composers, architects and master builders have also formed Germany’s global reputation as a nation of culture.
In 2009 we intend to merge the two of these wonderful stories into an inspiring whole, the contemporary culture of business encounters before the backdrop of and in an engaging exchange with the arts of both the old and new masters such as Dürer, Schiller, Bach, Beuys, Gropius, Jahn, Richter and Rauch. Imagine a glittering champagne reception in Goethe’s living room in Weimar, a private concert performance in Beethoven’s house of birth in Bonn, a product presentation in a Bauhaus building in Dessau or a seminar held among Marc, Macke, Dürer, Baselitz and Richter in the Brücke-Museum in Berlin.
In short, we certainly have no shortage of ideas for unique meetings and events experiences in the presence of so much art and culture. Allow yourself to be taken by surprise! Let us inspire you to hold your next event in Germany: both from the GCB and from our PREFERRED PARTNERS 2009, Maritim Hotels and Leipzig Tourism and Marketing GmbH, along with our MEMBERS IN FOCUS: the Berlin Convention Office and Sheration Frankfurt Hotels & Towers, Convention Center as well as MCI Germany GmbH and m:con – mannheim:congress GmbH.
We wish you plenty of fun and a very successful business year in 2009!
