Andrea Ludy - new Sales & Marketing Director with the Frankfurt Marriott Hotel

Andrea Ludy (35 years), born in Pirmasens, acquired her fascination for the hotel business early on in her career by working behind the scenes during a variety of hotel internships. As a result of this positive experience she decided in 1992 to train as a hotel manager in the Ramada Hotel Ludwigshafen. After successfully concluding her traineeship in August 1995 Andrea Ludy went on to occupy various positions throughout Germany in the areas of Front Office, Reservations, Food & Beverage as well as sales. In the year 2000 she opted for Bavaria and after holding the position of Sales Manager in the Munich Airport Marriott was promoted to Regional Sales Manager Southern Germany. In 2004 she transferred to the Leipzig Marriott Hotel as Director of Sales and Marketing.

After 18 months in Leipzig the next challenge summoned her to Cologne. She moved to the Rhineland city some six months before the Cologne Marriott Hotel was due to open its doors and successfully built up the sales and marketing division of the new Cologne property. In addition to her responsibility as Director of Sales and Marketing she was also responsible for the deployment of the Cluster Group Sales for the Renaissance Cologne and the Cologne Marriott Hotel.

Since mid-April of this year this competent lady from Pirmasens holds the position of Sales and Marketing Director in the Frankfurt Marriott Hotel. Her motto is: ‘From selling rooms to creating experiences!’
