Crowne Plaza Berlin City Centre expands meeting capacities
Four new conference rooms were inaugurated at the beginning of September 2006 in the Crowne Plaza Berlin City Centre. The hotel now offers 14 conference rooms and has expanded its total meetings area capacity to 1,279 m². The rooms are conceived with state of the art technology in mind, catering fully to speakers’, organisers’ and participants’ requirements and needs.
Every meeting room has beamers fixed to the ceilings. Numerous functions such as lighting, darkening, sound levels and air-conditioning are centrally regulated via displays on speakers’ rostrums and via user-friendly wall control panels. W-LAN/ high speed internet access is also available in all meeting rooms as well as throughout the entire hotel. The size of conference room may also be adapted quite flexibly to organiser requirements and participant numbers e.g. by merging two rooms together. Large windows ensure plenty of daylight and guarantee a bright and comfortable working atmosphere.
There is also good news on the rates front: conference specials which can already be booked from €55.- per person now include a data beamer with 1,600 ANSI Lumen.
The Crowne Plaza Berlin City Centre was the first hotel in Berlin to qualify as a ‘Certified Conference Hotel. This certification guarantees excellent service, high standards and planning security for business travellers and meeting planners.
The Crowne Plaza Berlin is not only a recommended address for corporate events and meetings, but also for private parties, festive occasions and jubilees.
New look Holiday Inn Frankfurt City-South
The Holiday Inn Frankfurt City-South, Conference Centre (Mailänder Straße 1) made good use of Summertime to carry out a programme of comprehensive renovations.
‘The hotel now presents itself in a completely new look. Cool design is still pre-eminent, together with a friendly and inviting atmosphere with special emphasis on client comfort.’ says Hotel Director Holger Frede.
180 rooms, including 58 executive rooms and three skyline studios, received a complete new outfit over the summer months. Warm, relaxing colours set the atmosphere here while granite sets the tone in the new bathrooms. All 439 rooms are now fitted with individually regulated air-conditioning systems. The new look is also very much present in the hotel corridors: friendly lighting, new carpets and fresh colours which convey a warm and cosy feeling.
The colour red is dominant in the ground floor area: the foyer and reception area greets guests with dark red tones and a new seating area. This colour scheme may also be found in the ‘Le Chou’ bistro which is decked out in extravagant and high-quality furnishings. The six main lifts are also fitted accordingly in granite and high-grade steel.
The new colour schemes and carpet outfits have made the congress and foyer areas bright and far more inviting. They also provide event and meeting planners state of the art technology when it comes to lighting, acoustics and air-conditioning.
Holiday Inn Frankfurt City-South Director Frede is pleased with the positive response received to-date both from new and regular clients. Herr Frede also plans to carry out further renovations over Wintertime in the hotel’s popular wellness and fitness areas.
